On June 6, BCS held its’ graduation ceremony for their 3rd Emerging Leaders class. This year’s class (2023-24) consisted of 11 students, including Carpenters, Leadman, an Assistant Project Manager and a Safety Professional. These future leaders are selected by their supervisors to learn more about BCS and explore some of the career options available to them with a commercial concrete subcontractor.
The program includes visits from GC partners, vendors, subcontractors and experienced BCS leaders sharing some of their experiences and instructing program participants on how to be successful at BCS. To graduate, Emerging Leaders must attend all class, pass a written exam, oral interview and Safety Test.
Graduates receive a training certificate and $500 graduation bonus. Previous graduates have become Superintendents, Estimators and Safety Professionals. BCS is proud to recognize this accomplishment and looks forward to the future contributions from this special group.
