According to OSHA’s CFR 1910.136 (a) The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses protective footwear when working in areas where there is a danger of foot injuries due to falling or rolling objects, or objects piercing the sole.  The human foot has 26 bones, 33 joints, and more than 100 muscles, tendons, and ligaments and helps support your entire body and serve an essential role in most basic movements.  The new composite boot inserts protect BCS employees from nail penetrations on the jobsite which can exposure workers to tetanus, cause severe infections if not properly treated and require workers to miss several days off from work as they recover from a deep nail penetration in their foot.
