We’re excited to announce, for the third year in a row, that we’re hosting our annual BCS Safety Rodeo.
The Safety Rodeo is a day dedicated to reinforcing and enhancing safety practices on our job sites. Serious injuries are always a potential risk on job sites during active projects. And without taking precautions, these risks can lead to serious, life-threatening accidents on the field. As
To alleviate these concerns, the Safety Rodeo Event is in place to reinforce key safety protocols and further prevent injuries. Throughout the event, our trainers will include BCS employees, who will work hands-on to emphasize points of safety with full demonstrations for all employees.
This year will be no different. On December 15, we’ll be emphasizing 8 full training stations to cover all the essential aspects of job site safety.
One station will focus on Fall Protection, ensuring that all team members are equipped with the tools needed to prevent falls and mitigate risks at elevation. Another station addresses Silica Control, highlighting the hazards associated with respirable crystalline silica and imparting strategies to maintain a safe work environment.
Carpentry safety will be covered, while Hand Protection will teach the importance of proper hand protection and techniques for avoiding common hand injuries. We will also have a station dedicated to Hammering Proficiency, enhancing skills and techniques for using hammers safely and efficiently.
Finally, other stations include Equipment Inspections, Concrete Pump Setup, and Excavation Safety. Within all the classes, we’ll delve deep into the safety process and how we can address potential hazards in the future.
Our Safety Rodeo has become an annual tradition that brings together the BCS contractors for a day of showcasing what makes us one of the leading commercial concrete contractors in Texas – our commitment to an improved safety culture.
The event will take place on December 15 and will be from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. We can’t wait to see you all there!
