Recently, the team at BCS Concrete Structures, leader of commercial concrete contractors, achieved a major milestone at the Nutrabolt Austin Headquarters off Bee Cave Road in West Austin.
Under the development of Riverside Resources, the massive undertaking involved the BCS team creating an intricate deck formwork of five cast-in-place levels for the company Nutrabolt, the proud owner of C4 energy drinks and workout supplements.
The BCS team did fantastic work, showcasing their expertise in turnkey construction by successfully completing the highly anticipated comprehensive project, which spanned six levels with approximately 150,000 square feet of overall space.
BCS worked hand in hand with our partners at BECK, the general contractor who oversaw the operations, while Eric Izeta and Leonel Perez were at the helm with the BCS team in planning and execution.
“The BCS team led by Eric Izeta, Superintendent, and Leonel Perez, General Superintendent, did a fantastic job on this project,” says Joseph Sanderson, Project Manager. “The project team took pride in their work on this project, from start to finish. We continue to receive compliments from Beck on the concrete finish, safety, cleanliness, and overall quality of the project.”
Despite our teams’ success with Nutrabolt, it didn’t come without its fair share of challenges, including strict site logistics and aggressive schedule deadlines. Thankfully, BCS was there to tackle it with skill.
“Our onsite crew and supervisors were cooperative, professional, and accommodating to the difficult site conditions, not only amongst our team but amongst all trade partners on the project,” Sanderson said. “We are proud to say that we completed this project ahead of an already-tight schedule to beat contractual obligations.”
In the end, BCS and Riverside Resources were able to deliver the perfect concrete structure for Nutrabolt with a completion time of just 21.5 weeks!
